Red house
It may be Swedish white but it's red as well. Like a shiny apple just ready to be plucked from the tree. How adorable is this 1905 pilot's house in Smögen, Sweden. Ship's pilot obviously ;) Apparently this particular pilot had travelled to America and included gingerbread touches here and there that make it a little different from its fellow houses. Seaside haven. Tick. Historical house. Tick. Scandi white and painted wood. Tick. Relaxed lifestyle and something just a little bit different. Tick. Not just one but at least three ceramic stoves including a green kakelugnar that I need to fondle. And to top it off it's RED! Ticks all my boxes. Definitely immigrating to Sweden .... or at least visiting for the summer. For sale here. If only I could buy it!

This particular red is very common for wodden houses in Sweden :)
So beautiful! Almost picture perfect..
LOVE the sofa and the crisp, casual, airy feel of the home in general. The mix of pieces is well done. I think the painted furniture works so well.
Love this house! it's like my dream home!
It´s a beautiful house, very light and cosy. I love it!!
Yeahhh me too - if only I'm a millionaire I would definitely buy this stunning house. I also love the neighborhood. It looks like it's a tight knit community. The houses almost look the same - well, except for this red house, which stands out from the rest.
If I can have this house, I would just like to change some of its white furniture sets and white drapes into something more complementary to red.
LOVE THIS!!! Love the fireplace inside....
What a great house!
I looove all the natural light! I also like how the outside is bright & bold and the inside is more subdued, calm and relaxing.
As already mentioned, the red color is very common in Sweden, you can see it on the house in the background on the last picture, though usually not in these fishermens villages. This house is exceptionally light and bright indoors, Swedish style as its best with a mixture of new and old. I recongnize some furniture from my grandparents home!
Beautiful. Lots of soul in this one!
That green fireplace is totally amazing.
It's funny how you always love to see pictures from your own neigbourhood i foreign magazines, blogs et c.... Lovely swedish seaside home, not unlike my own summer seaside house...
