Nathan and Brandi's bedroom makeover
Fri, 6 May 2011Nathan, a photographer in Edmonton Alberta, wanted to share the bedroom makeover that him and his wife Brandi executed - to perfection! It's my favourite colour scheme - and he even included a gratuitous cat-on-the-bed photo. :-)
It's been months in the making. We’ve been working away, slowly but surely, trying to refinishing our bedroom. Unfortunately I don’t have any 'before' pictures, but it definitely didn’t look like this! Picture beige walls, no curtains and black bedding. Horrible.
I refinished these small tables myself a couple months back. They were espresso brown with boring knobs, so I painted them a warm white, antiqued them a bit and found some great new hardware. Simple, cheap, effective :)

nice colours but i have to say that getting the bed ready for sleep would be quite an endeavour - all those cushions, pillows and fluffies. i prefer cleaner lines myself.

Great room I'm completly mad about gray and white, love it so much, that my entire house is gray and white. Beautiful room, beautiful, plus it has photos on the wall, my absolute favourite form of art. Love the yellow to, just a little, yet makes an incredible statment, isn't it?

I am not the owner of this bedroom but I have a few throw pillows on my bed. I just plop them on the floor when I go to sleep. Though I only have three so it's less of an ordeal than this bedscape would present. :)

Any idea where they purchased the duvet from?
My bed has about this many pillows as well. At night I just stack up the decorative pillows on the ottoman in my room. Takes about 1 minute, so it's not really a hassle.
