Muted mulberry

Scandinavian white walls anchored by dark floors. Muted mulberry and muddied browns flirt with slaps of black, dashes of blue, fresh flashes of cool green and slivers of silver. It's a sophisticated look, an elegant look, a muted maturity, a casual luxury by Wenche Holth of Suzani Interiør.

I love this very much. Just painted my sitting room white. Unfortunately, in real life, achieving that look would mean getting rid of a lot of things and displaying very few personal things. Very beautiful nevertheless.

This home looks fresh (except for the skull on the pillow). I think the white walls achieve that. The espresso wood floors are an excellent backdrop for the white kitchen (a must, in my opinion). The linen draped over the bed leaves you with a feeling that the home is casual and imperfect yet elegant.

Great light and dark contrast. Also loving the hammered drum table.

The chair in the hall looks like a chair designed by Hans Wegner

This is a really wonderful home! Does anybody know who designed the coffeetable?

8 Nov 2011 | Unregistered CommenterSylvie

@Kicki The chair is design by the Danish architecture firme Bønnelycke a few years back.
A bit into the slideshow at this link http://www.bonnelycke.com/may_we_be_of_assistance__i269.html you will se it in a café setting.
You can also see it here: http://www.silo-dk.com/102_lounge_stol_i363.html (sorry Danish only) they should be able to tell you where to by the chair.

I am so in love with this colour right now. Especially with the white walls and dark floors it is very sumptuous. Great post.

Very beautiful, and the bones of the rooms are nice, but all those pillows on the sofa, and the random bowls and pottery on the tables look like an interior designer or stylist placed them - not the natural choices of a lived in house. Overall, wonderful taste, just a bit staged/lacking in personal stuff.

Amazing!

The minimalist design is inspiring. Smart choices for few pieces of furniture to display - even the wall decorations match the theme of the house very well.
