A completely renovated first apartment
Fri, 13 Aug 2010We received an email from Ron and it started off like this: "I'm 27 years old and live in Tel Aviv Israel, currently an industrial design student. Me and my girlfriend just bought our first apartment and decided to design it completely by ourselves." Now before I continue I have got to show you a few of the before photos.
And some info on what went on after they had their way with their new apartment:
"In short we re-did the whole place:
Tore down the wall in the kitchen opening it up to the living room and dining area.
United the the bathroom making one long and spacious bathroom
Made the bedroom bigger by closing a indoor balcony.
A bar that comes out of the wall.
I personally designed and built most of the items seen in the pictures:
Large wall clock
Floating unit below the tv
round table and red chairs
table, pipe lamp and the cats playing area which is hung in the red room
faucet in the bathroom
wooden bar
lights in the living room (with red cords)
bed and side table in bedroom. "
I cannot even put into words how in awe I am of Ron's talent. Seriously. This apartment is FULL of creative and such well-executed items. See for yourselves. (I told him I may steal the cat play area idea). Check out his website HERE.

Brilliant - thank you! I passed this on to my younger daughter who is studying Architecture, and btw I bought some IKEA chest-of-drawers and, thou they are now showing signs of wear and tear, they are still being used after 40!!! years. Is this a record?, lol
OK, I am in awe. This is the ish right there. i totally agree that student or not you are so hired. I loooooove everything about the redesign. I don't know where to start from. I certainly would love to live in an apartment like this someday too. Kudos

Too neat! I love the wall clock of clocks! I wish the cat walk boards on the wall had some type of cushion. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this apartment! great job :)

What an exhaustive process that probably was! I would not have the patience and also lack the ingenuity for this kind of undertaking. Kudos to the designer for his resourcefulness, it's an amazing transformation!

Light green is very good color and it give bathroom a very decent look.
Good choice of color with the accessories.
Absolutely amazing design, and still holds up three years later!! Love the clock and TV wall, and the kitchen design is perfect.

I am shocked! You did an amazing job, the clock, the bathroom are lovely and I'm sorry but I'm copying those cool wall shelves you built for your cats, I know my cats will love them too.
Amazing interior. fabulous. Especially the clock on wall. Study room is also equally impressive. This is a great example of an ideal interior designing.
