I know, you all think I'm nuts. But I swear my Jeffrey Campbell obsession has subsided a bit now that I have this new collection of shoes. And the pièce de résistance has got to be these Pixie Zip Wedge booties that I have admired since the first day I discovered Jeffrey Campbell shoes. The only problem was no stores that have decent (or zero) shipping costs to Canada had any in stock. But Shopbop got a shipment of these in last week (link HERE) and I decided these would likely be the pair that I would get the most wear out of. They are AMAZING in person and I got a 9 (I'm an 8.5) and they fit PERFECTLY. I am SOOO going to pick an outfit for work tomorrow so I can wear these beauties.
Could NOT resist, again. A few hours after my French test on Tuesday I was sitting at the computer thinking how after all that HELL I went through that I deserved a treat. And since I had my eyes on the following Jeffrey Campbell shoes (Snick Fringe) for a few months, and discovered them on sale 30% off at Little Burgundy Shoes, I went ahead and ordered a pair. GIDDY UP!
I finally picked out some Jeffrey Campbell shoes (from 2 different shops) and they have arrived! Now the weather has to cooperate so I can get a chance to wear them (it's been a tad chilly here lately).
I first chose the black/white El Carmen - one of the hottest shoes Jeffrey Campbell has made if I may be so bold as to say so. I also picked out the Suebee in natural - this shoe is totally adorable and the matte leather is awesome. Only problem is the entire weight of the shoe (kinda heavy given it's got a wooden platform) is held on by the tiny ankle strap. So not the most comfortable shoe, but looks awfully nice. I got them from Lori's Shoes in Chicago, who charged me $40 shipping, and then I had to pay about $35 in taxes/duties/whatever. Kind of pissed me off, and I will not likely buy from them again. And this goddamn package sat in customs here for over a week. I have no idea why. I ordered these I think on the 30th of March and they arrived on the 19th of April.
Then on the 12th I was poking around on the Plum for Polly website and decided on a couple more. I chose the Milton boot which I love for it's old-fashioned vibe, and the Franklin cork platform because it looked super comfy, not too high, and perfect for summer. I also picked out a sale top ($15) and a tank ($45) - all with a shipping cost of $20. I received a call from someone at Plum for Polly the next day who apologized profusely that the $15 sale shirt was no longer in stock. She insisted on refunding me the $15 and asked that I select another sale top to replace it. So sweet! (I had actually only ordered the Franklin at this point but while I was on the phone I asked her if she could add the Milton to my order as well). I mentioned there was a purse that seemed to maybe be out of stock and she said she'd let me know when they get more in. SO - all this to say I will totally order from Plum for Polly again, despite the fact that I'm trying to stick to shops with free shipping or at least Canadian ones where I won't get dinged with taxes (I had to pay about $35 again for this package).
I mentioned in a previous post that I've become obsessed with Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I've been reading alot of fashion blogs lately (I can only submerse myself in so much decor stuff) and his shoes are super popular, and reasonably priced. I finally broke down and bought 2, which I ordered almost 2 weeks ago and they STILL aren't here. I won't divulge which ones they are until they arrive and I'll for sure blog them. I am severely crushing on some other ones which I thought I'd share....maybe it will help me decide which, if any, I may purchase.
P.S. If you want to see someone who is REEEEALLY obsessed with Jeffrey Campbell shoes, check out Asami's blog Pink Kitten - her 199th pair of JC shoes just arrived!
{ i just discovered this one - the Foxy ESP in navy ($124) - at Nordstroms, but turns out shipping/duty/taxes would run me almost $85 so they can keep their f*cking shoes THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! }
{ i really love this Snick Fringe and for some reason my sister really doesn't, but whatever, and at about $140 it's not too pricey }
{ this may be my favourite out of the bunch, the Virgo in black canvas, because it's the least crazy, most pratical and least expensive (between $100 and $120) }
{ the Smudge Fur in Jaguar print, because i have no animal prints in my wardrobe and i think every chick could use an animal print shoe ($145-170) }
{ i adore the pattern on these, and you can't go wrong with black and white. only problem is i have only found these at Envi Shoes and shipping is about $80 so they can take these shoes and shove 'em where the sun don't shine }
