What to do with a vintage doctor's bag

The only thing I brought home from the Ottawa Antique Market besides some FABULOUS modernist jewelry (pics of that on the mourning cloak) was a leather doctor's bag my husband bought me. Once we got it home I wondered what in the hell we were going to do with it.
Then it hit me - magazine rack next to the sofa!

What a wonderful use for such a nice, old item! I love the patina on the bag, and the fact that it's monogrammed! Nice find.
Nice website. Sorry I Missed the Ottawa Antiques show. Someone had to work the main store, lol but did get good feedback and customers to the shop from the show thx bunch for tagging Kims Picks...A Fine Thing Antiques 989 Somerset West. afinething.ca
Thanks Claudia!
Thanks Lucas! You missed a really fun show. I have been meaning to check out your new digs (especially since I live right down the road) - such a FAB spot!
Kim - is that a giant forest canvas in the background? or wall paper! beautiful!
Thanks corrin! It's a wallpaper mural. You can see it better here.
Like that idea. Mine is my father's very well used Dr. bag and it sits high up on a bathroom shelf where only adults can reach it and holds medicines. Oh, and the name toggle has a red cross in it cut from a red paint sample. Don't you just love paint samples? Bright and sturdy little card to do loads of things with.
Loving the living room Kim - I know you mentioned the shop where you bought your sofa but do you know the brand name and/or sofa name? Thanks
unfortunately when I asked at the store who the manufacturer was they couldn't tell me. something about it coming from the warehouse and trying to sell it off during a big sale.....
