New around the house

French. Enamel. Late 19th century. Pink and green and two piece. And I love her ... or him because I don't know the French for this wall mounted cistern and hand basin combo and we all know how strict the French are on their gender. A present from Kelvin after I spotted it in The Vintage Advantage. I'm thinking on a brick wall ouside somewhere. Maybe near the staghorns and elkhorns we are tying frantically to palms and plonking into tree trunks. I must take pictures. We managed to get our hands on a huge old elkhorn that fell out of a friend's tree.

Sorry for the bad photos. My iPhone is just crap when it comes to sharp snappy pics. I have to cheat and use DSLR pics in some of my instagram posts. Well I used to but most days I'm too lazy to drag out the digital camera, download, upload, reload or whatever.

P.S. If you live in the Ipswich area have you been to the Salvo's plant stall on Saturday mornings? CHEAP! That bird's nest fern was only $12.50. Rush to the Bundamba church (or are they called halls or tabernacles?) There's always a sign out on the highway when they're there. Ferns and indoor plants, bedding, herbs, natives and flowers. We're hooked.
