A view of my office

I haven't had much of a chance to move things into their final homes at the new old house. Rooms are sadly jumbled or empty. I'm swamped with work. I've been unwell ... again. I have a couple of very exciting projects on the boil and I'm tired. So tired. The good news is that things will definitely change for the better in two weeks time. I've been keeping it very quiet until it was closer to the time but I'm taking 6 months leave from my government job. Yippee!!!!! Time for myself. Time to get better. Time to create and blog and scheme and enjoy life! But boo! My income will drop at first but that's why I am scheming and planning and looking into new business opportunities. Yippee! Expensive renos are on hold for at least 6 months. Boo! No new light fittings for the living and dining rooms. Boo! But time for myself again. Yippee!

Just a little sneak peek at my office reversed in a mirror I popped on my orange cupboard then started loading on some (yes just some) of my west german pottery. Maybe I'll swap it out for the white ones or the brown ones or the green ones. How about the blue collection? Maybe I'll be able to take better photos soon. Maybe after I go on leave, catch up on sleep, get well, take a deep breath and start enjoying life again. You won't be able to stop me then!

Oh, that's not good about your health, Jo. You'll have to look after yourself while you take leave. I'll have my fingers crossed that your business prospects work out too.

And look at all that West German goodness! xx

Jo, the very best of luck to you in your health and ventures. You must take care of yourself.
I see white walls there and I'm liking what I see in your office. Perfect backdrop for that beautifully-carved wood mirror and the artisan pottery.
OMG, that orange table with the old plank top is incredible. Jo, I hope one of your ventures is as a stylist because you are very talented.

Jo,

The "boos" add up to . . . well, nothing compared to the "yippies." Rest and dream and scheme while you're off work and recover your health soon.

oh, enjoy. I've been dreaming of doing the same thing. Not in the cards at the moment. Can't wait to see where your creativity leads you!!

Thanks for your well wishes everyone. It may mean lots of mince or chicken wing dinners, a serious curtailing of my thrifting budget and no new shoes for 6 months but I think I'll make it :). Can't wait to sleep in till 6.00am each morning. I'm up at 4 these days to get blog work done. LOL.

Good for you Jo, wish I had the guts to do the same.
I am sure with your creativity and wonderful personality you will be a success at whatever you do in your six months leave.

LOVE your German pottery, btw.
