Potrero Hill Bohème

It has been a little while since I featured San Francisco interior design firm Studio Revolution so I thought I would share a bit more of Jemy and Emily's work. Since I am never really going to be over the reclaimed wood trend, I am a big fan of this project. Potrero Hill Bohème has some really beautiful reclaimed wood wall features (YES to chevron pattern! ...maybe they're wallpaper?), and the subtle southwestern theme works really well here.  (P.S. I you would like to contribute to an upcoming pets on furniture feature, please send photos to kim[at]desiretoinspire[dot]net)

Designed by British firm Louise Jones Interiors

A rescue in Melbourne

The talented folks at Robson Rak Architects took this tired Victorian home in Melbourne and transformed it into a modern masterpiece, while renovating the existing structure and restoring the façade. It must be an incredible feeling to walk under that ornate porch, through the front door, under gorgeous original arches and you are lead into BOOM - a large, open and bright space that is really stunning. All of that reclaimed wood lends a bit of nature to the space and keeps it from being too cold. Respecting the old and embracing the new.

The kitchen love continues

Simple and beautifully made. Shouldn't that be our mantra for the pieces we live with in our homes? Like this collaboration between deVOL Kitchens and designer and wood man, Sebastian Cox. That black kitchen cabinet makes my heart sing. You can see more on the process over on my page.
