Mickey the wonder dog

WINKS - weekend links. Here we list what has come in during the week, things we've found and things we think you'll want to see. If you'd like to see your blog or website featured email us and if we think it fits with our readers we'll link you. So what's in this week?

  • Sexy legs! OMG what sexy legs. The House of Habit can take the simply beautiful to the sublime. Whether the same leathers as Prada uses, hand painted, metal or crystal encrusted they are pure luxury.

  • Gorgeous home accessories from Danish label nord are now available at Le Souk. If you haven't been to Danielle's stylish webshop then you're in for a treat. Based in The Netherlands Danielle ships world-wide. Too tempting! She has such a wonderful eye. Love it all.

  • Normann Copenhagen presents the Mormor/Grandma series designed by Gry Fager. Inspired by textiles it's a humorous and functional series just right for breakfast, lunch or for a picnic. Talk about granny chic. You can find it at Dansk Design.

  • GSelect .... it's supposed to be all about style for the boys but if minimalist, form follows function and drop dead gorgeous modern design ticks your boxes then there are plenty of luxury lovelies for you on this site.

  • I'm smitten by Gesa Hansen's current furniture collection "The Hansen Family". Home grown wood, handmade furniture, new Scandinavian design. Love the desk! More here.

  • Mesmerised by the photography of Myla Kent. Coloured smoke (incense) curling away. You'll find them at her Etsy shop.

  • New artworks by Rachel Castle will be part of a show at Orson & Blake, Surry Hills, Sydney during the month of October. The show includes hand sewn embroideries and hand screen prints. The piece above is called HARLEQUIN - felt, velvet and linen on antique french linen, 760mm x 900mm and is simply divine. Rachel you are such a talented woman! Promise us more pics when the exhibition is open. (Image from Room Images.)

  • Beautiful new fabric collection by Angela Clinton. "I am writing to introduce myself and my new collection of fabrics to you. For the past few years I have been learning the craft of surface design and am now excited to launch my first collection of home décor fabrics. Based out of North Carolina, Parlor Textiles will carry an initial collection of about 11 designs, all printed in the United States on an eco-friendly fabric. I’m a big fan of traditional Eastern motifs and vintage fabrics. Parlor Textiles will sell fabric yardage through its web site beginning this fall." Bookmark this one kids. Such a fresh, eclectic look!

  • Poul Kjaerholm’s iconic PK22 lounge chair is reinterpreted with the Lucy Chair. The chair features a 1.5mm thin sheet of plywood that’s been laser cut and bent into the frame. Appearing to float above the frame, the seat and back create shadow patterns when hit with direct light. The chair was designed and produced by American designer Darlene Molnar in collaboration with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. No website as yet but I'm sure Darlene will let us know when she's online.

  • When is storage sexy? When it's a new blog Storage | Glee. Laurence curates a collection of ideas for those who love to stow, and benevolent options for those that don't.

  • Dreamy, breezy loungerie - bedding and loungewear by Plum Pretty Sugar. With fabrics found in India, Charlotte's designs are chic and girly, silky and sassy. Perfect for relaxing.

  • Kim and I are in awe of Australian interior designer Greg Natale. He's become the hottest thing on the Australian scene. Now he has just launched his signature rug collection New Regency at Designer Rugs. Gorgeous and glam! (Greg has promised a new website with so much new work coming soon. Can't wait!)

  • Jocelyn Warner has 3 new wallpapers, Blossom, Cascade and Fern, each in five beautiful colourways. Jocelyn's fascination with contemporary larger than life botanical themes continues. Launching at 100% Design this September it just means the wallpaper love affair we are all having will continue.

  • Cool outdoor lighting from iconic lighting company FontanaArte. Love the playfulness of these and with the weather warming up here in Australia it's the perfect time to adding another dimension to your garden design. Available in Australia through Gineico.

  • I love emails from talented artists and craftspeople. "My name is Abbi, and I just started an Etsy shop, featuring small Cityscapes and cards. They are small drawings perfect for small spaces and a lot of people have been buying them for children's rooms." Love these. I can see a grid like group of these marching down my hallway.

  • You will probably have seen this on a number of blogs by now but we wanted to add our own shout out. Bethany Obrecht and her company Found My Animal make beautiful leashes for your pets from heavy gauge oiled rope, brass Italian hardware and nifty detailing (the ends are whipped with twine). 25% of the proceeds are then donated to rescue organisations. Bethany's mission is to stop the abuse in puppy mills and to help convince people that adopting a dog is a perfect way to help our planet. Find out more here.

  • Keeping with the dog theme our dogs on chairs posts have been inspiring people all around the globe. Remember Jack the German Shepherd from this post. Rachel Dutton of Shade Tree Gallery is a talented water colourist who has been inspired to create a dogs on chairs series. That's Jack above. Even better Rachel does commissions!

  • Launched by the GPO in 1965 as a fashionable alternative to its regular models, it was in the 1970s that the Trimphone reigned supreme. (TRIM stands for Tone Ringer Illuminated Model.) Need a little retro in your life? Live in the UK where this groovy baby was born? Then this replica version has all the style and features of the 1970s original but with modern push button. Find it here.

  • This last WINK has me all excited. You have to be an old school architect or designer to really get off on this but hey I am! I used to go everywhere with my roll of trace paper designing away. Now I want one of these. Place for Trace designed by O'Brian Muehleisen Architecture Studio at Merchant No.4.

  • Nothing more exciting than a fabulous interior designer's website that is unless it's an updated website or even better a brand new one. First up Anne*Coyle Interiors.

Next is Coddington Design. Melanie has a fabulous new website with even more gorgeous rooms.

And finally what we all have been waiting for (in my case over two and a half years) Anna Spiro has launched her Black & Spiro website. Fabulous fabulous fabulous but you already know that because you've all been flicking through her portfolio hundreds of times since the launch a few days ago.

  • Just opened in Toronto, Atelier 688 is a gem of a design space started by artist/photographer/writer Alex Jowett. Think handcrafted unique design, quality workmanship, vintage and reclaimed materials. It's where art, design and fashion collide. You'll find more here.

  • Craving that iconic designer cushion but still on the hunt for a great price. Check out etsy store Plum Cushion. Kelly Wearstler's latest fabric range, that notorious Chiang Mai Dragon, super ikats and lots more.

  • New from Bodie and Fou these simple, almost minimalist eco-friendly art prints. The Nest, Type Map, Hedgeraw and Endless Love are right on trend and gorgeous and fit an IKEA frame!.

  • New York based Maki Yamamoto is Fabricteria Maki. Her fabric panels can be used as window treatments, space dividers, wall hangings, art pieces or bed spreads. Each piece is custom designed and hand sewn to make it a one of a kind artwork. She calls them fabric jewels.

  • TWINE is all about natural materials rendered honestly and simply into useful, well-designed products. TWINE is about the warmth and love that resides in products that are handmade or the inherent charm and history of objects with a past. TWINE is more value in less goods and the everyday usefulness of joy, beauty, light, humor, color and love. And while you are there stop by Jenn's other store ROMP.

  • Totally coveting these pieces from the Maarten De Ceulaer Leather Collection - A Pile Of Suitcases and A Desk of Briefcases. The concept, the colour and I'm sure the feel of the leather and the smell, ah the smell. More great Belgian design.

  • Philip Nimmo is a tour de force in the world of iron, with highly sought after collections of fire screens, lighting, furniture and unusual pieces. His Ironworks collection uses unique materials, such as horn, mica, glass, acrylic, and semi-precious stones. One of a kind statement pieces.

  • Kylie from paper boat press is having a sale. From now until August 24 simply write the discount code WINTER in the shopping cart area to receive 25% off ALL purchases. I love her vessels. I love her cloud brooches. I love her tags. I love her quote pencils. I love.

  • I have an itch and it needs to be scratched. I crave vintage and I crave the vintage finds at etsy shop 26 olive street. The photography is fab! OK I have a serious liking for their blog too :)
