Rollout - Artist and Custom Wallpaper

ROLLOUT is a creative studio that designs and prints custom single, or low run wallpapers. This Vancouver based company was in their own words "born out of the need for graphic expression in the interior design industry. Gone are the days of slick minimalism. Texture, expression, emotion, and color have filled the gaping hole left by modernism. We represent a culture of creativity and warmth that denies conformity."

de Gournay

The China Club post had me thinking of beautiful chinoiserie wallpaper. de Gournay's hand painted wallpapers, fabrics and porcelain are at the very top end of the decoration market and they have traditionally specialised in 18th century Chinoiserie and 19th century French designs. They also specialise in reinterpreting these designs and colours to create a contemporary feel. de Gournay's principal wallpaper collections are Chinoiserie, French 19th century Papier Peints Panoramiques and Japanese & Korean designs. All their wallpapers are hand painted and the design team can create fabrics, blinds and porcelain to complement them or to contrast with them. Swoon....so beautiful!

Florence Broadhurst

We've seen her designs in every influential interior design magazine. Her patterns grace fabric, wallpaper, accessories and now fill the pages of a stunning new book. Florence Broadhurst is a design icon not just in her home country of Australia but deservedly worldwide. Hers was a colourful career from outback Queensland via cabaret singing in Shanghai to couturier in London and back to Australia, where from the mid fifties until her unsolved murder in 1977 at the age of 78, Florence created a body of work that leaves us gasping today. Her astounding designs are now again in production through Signature Prints .
