A vintage home

I am off to tour some gorgeous homes today at the annual Glebe House Tour, and thought a tour of this lovely one bedroom apartment in the U.K. would be a start to a new week. it is located in a 1930's building and is packed with vintage charm. It looks like someone likes thrifting as much as I do. :) Via JJ Locations

An apartment of curiosities

This apartment in a 1930's building belongs to a couple (and their 2 children) who are antiquarians and gallery owners in Saint-Germain, Paris. They did not expect to live here for more than a couple of years because the space is only 700 square feet but the Parisian charm has kept them there 11 years so far. Their home is outfitted with antiques and items found on the street, making it so wonderfully eclectic. Via MilK Decoration magazine, photos: Brunet Souet.

Not what it is, but what it could be

This is Marmalade Manor. Built in Salt Lake City in 1878, this home is caught in a time warp and would be an absolutely incredible renovation project (if the bones are not in too rough of shape that is, or the budget was limitless). There are so many to-die-for original features including SIX fireplaces! I would love this home just for the gorgeous vintage kitchen sink and O'Keefe Merritt range (*drool*). Never mind the fact that there is a butlers pantry, TWO laundry rooms (one up, one down), a steam shower, radiators and in the backyard, a stone two-story playhouse. The house is pretty much bare in terms of furnishings, but have a look through these photos then close your eyes and dream of what it could be.... (for sale via City Home Collective)

Shabby chic done soooo right

I featured this glorious home quite some time ago via JJ Locations and it turned out to be the home of super talented interiors photographer Debi Treloar. It seems to have had a bit of an update since then so I thought you might want to have another look. This is why I need a cottage - where I can get away with painting everything white, and filling it with all good things thrifted. This is what I want to dream about on a warm and sunny summer Sunday. :)

A vintage Russian apartment

I found this really cool apartment in Russia on The Village and had to share. The owners - I think they're interior designers from what the translation came up with - decorated this almost to perfection (I have issues with the curtains but I can let that go). Filled with antiques and thrift store finds, the somewhat Parisian decor works so well against the brick walls and herringbone parquet floors. The sleeping lost is a little gem, and I adore the huge art wall and bistro vibe in the kitchen. This would be a fun airbnb.
