When you would expect someone decorating a converted lofty school house to go the industrial route but instead they go with a classic Scandinavian/shabby chic look. Kudos to the owners of this home in Battersea, London for going against the grain on this one, and for the very impressive collection of antiques. And for the cute dog. This is really beautiful. This is about as random and eclectic as it gets. And of course, I love every bit of it. Although I may have decided against stocking up at the big sale when the gymnastics centre closed. 4 story regency town house in Brighton, U.K. available as a location home via jj Locations.
I was totally sold on this home just from the photo above (maybe because of the Weimaraner...or the pretty wallpaper...or that gorgeous divan), but in fact the entire thing is pretty fabulous. It has been a few years since Jo featured Mapesbury Road, the home of stylist Marianne Cotterill. This utterly covetable home is currently available for shoots via 1st Option and they kindly sent over lots of juicy photos. This home speaks to me on so many levels. The architecture alone is incredible, then add in all of the absolutely stunning vintage furnishings and the heart palpitations begin. I can see myself forever moving pieces around from room to room trying out different combinations. I love this sooooo much. Thank you 1st Option for the reminder of how fabulous this home is.

Currently available for sale via The Modern House (HA - this could not be further from modern), this fantastic 19th century tin church has absolutely to-die-for windows and was restored by designer Nick Kenny. You can read all the juicy details here, but I just have to say that if you put this on a waterfront property this would be my ideal choice for a cottage.
