I was almost going to call this one "Shopping on a Saturday" but, as wonderful as it would be to spend time in this store as a customer, can you imagine how fabulous it must be to work in such a beautiful space? As I always say, if you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere stylish. Ulla Johnson boutique by Elizabeth Roberts Architecture and Design.
Simple, understated, elegant - that's the ethos behind Storie. Part boutique accommodation and part studio available for hire, both showcasing carefully curated pieces from the soon to be open online store in South Melbourne. A beautiful house, a beautiful base for exploring Melbourne, beautiful pieces, beautiful space for functions and workshops. Simply beautiful.
Don't get me wrong. I love the rain. After all, the summer has been so dry and these blustery showers are welcome. It's just that I'm racing home from work, side stepping puddles and cursing my cheap and inadequate umbrella. AND I need to find something for dinner. If only I had a cute little larder cafe around the corner from where I live. Something just like this. Dinner sorted and I can fit in a coffee and perhaps a slice of chocolate and pear cake while waiting for the latest shower to pass. Any excuse to linger just a little longer in this stylish little space. (Love that sink set up by the way.) Oxford Larder by Pipkorn & Kilpatrick.

Just because you have white walls doesn't mean you can't be surrounded by colour. Even better, just because you rent and have white walls which you can't paint, doesn't mean you can't do colour with style and flair. So much inspiration from this property styled by one of my favourite Melbourne homewares shops Fenton & Fenton.
I was going to title this post "Working on a Sunday" but hang that for an idea! I want to live in this place not work there! Like a boudoir for their retail retinue all with the ever present, all enveloping waft of heaven's scent, Jo Malone - Paris by Marion Collard.
