As I say time after time, if you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere that looks stylish ... and is full of fabulous clothing, accessories and homewares sourced locally and from around the world. The brief for the design of this Melbourne store was to create a cosy, intimate space with that feeling of casually stepping into someone’s home. How could you ever call it work if where you made your living was as lovely as this fashion showroom? Laure de Sagazan Studio in New York by LOT.

I love my hair stylist, but he works out of a rowhouse he owns that he never really decorated and is waiting for an offer so he's not putting any money into it. Because I spend at least 2 hours a day there every 8 weeks, it would be a much more pleasant experience if it looked as awesome as this barbershop (but he often brings his dogs, so that makes up for the lack of design). One Love Barbershop in Nice, France was designed by Baldini Architecture and I adore the somewhat random and dark colour palette. That shade of green is delish.
What a fun shop this is!!! Beehive is a clothing store with a few locations, including this one in Fort Worth, Texas designed by Duffy Stone. I really dig the Miami/80's pastels/tropical vibe going on here. But the best part has to be that Wild Thing wallpaper by Flavor Paper, designed by Ghislaine Viñas. It is made from actual photographs of plants taken by her husband. The perfect wallpaper for those who are plant-obsessed. Gorgeous!!!
