I spotted this home on the website of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle magazine and had to share because cottage season has begun and this cottage (while not your average "cottage") is about as gorgeous as they come. This 1930's, 3,000 sq ft Nantucket style home is the cutest thing on the outside and full of contrasting goodness on the inside. Shiplap siding in white is fresh and lends to the Americana feel and looks incredible with the contrasting dark stained hardwood floors. The dining room I swear was plucked from one of my dreams I have had for the past 20 years. (Interior design: homeowner Meg Harrington of Huff Harrington Home. Architect: Linda MacArthur Architect. I have featured projects by Vancouver's Fox Design Studio in the past (here, here and here) and I continue to marvel at their talents at creating contemporary, eye-catching, spaces with incredible attention to detail. Each room in this home shares a similar colour palette of greys and white with touches of black and then pops of blue. It's a soothing, relaxing vibe that flows throughout this beautiful, rustic home. I want those sheep statues on my porch too!
It's on my bucket list to visit if I ever get to New York but can you imagine if this was your workplace? I'd never want to go home. I'd work for free. A florist shop makes me happy even if it's just a blank room and some buckets of flowers but this, oh this is so much more. Saipua, design by Tacklebox Architecture.
When I spotted this home on Shoot Factory I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Industrial chic style with beautiful architectural details with white painted exposed brick and wood panelling and moldings in every nook and cranny. Paint some of it black and I am having heart palpitations. Add a marble countertop and I can hardly breathe. (Blakes London seems to have had something to do with this).
