Magic egg farmhouse

If you asked me what type of home I would want to live in for the rest of my life if I had to choose one, this is my answer. This home and everything in it. A late-18th-century farmhouse tucked away in 167 acres of fields and forest, complete with a barn, pool, pond, and tennis court. Over its many years the house has seen plenty of renovations and, we can only imagine, has lived just as many lives. Its most recent iteration featured a rainbow’s array of wall colors and strange furniture choices. It was immediately clear that all that needed to go, and that we’d basically need to start from scratch, while keeping just a few old details like the wide-plank floors and rich chestnut paneling. Camellas-Lloret

Take me away to the south of France. I've had enough of this week and it's only Thursday! I want to run away to a place in the sun, with beautiful old rooms filled with stylish bits and bobs found at the brocantes. I want to be welcomed by hosts who know and love the area so well but who have themselves escaped the hustle and bustle to their own little piece of paradise. Take me away to somewhere like Camellas-Lloret, a charming B&B in the village of Montreal. Whether in one of the charming rooms in the main house or the garden apartment I know I would be blissfully happy.

And OMG it is next to a little lake, has a pool, silo, ancient barn, a golden retriever AND alpacas! *GASP!* Yep, everything I have ever wanted (throw in some cats tho') all wrapped up in a beautiful package. Summer feels

This beautifully renovated home located in Ciutadella de Minorca, Spain makes for an ideal spot to spend the hot summers. Bright whites, tile and stained concrete floor, rustic architecture and casual furnishings have me wanting to pack my bags. This no-nonsense, leave-your-flip-flops-on decor is so inviting. *sigh* Via Micasa.
