Stalking on a Saturday

With its back wall dating from 1850 and a heritage-listed frangipani tree we barely glimpse, this brand new industrial-inspired residence is rooted in the past (sorry for the pun) but definitely future focused. Recycled materials, cutting edge living. Stark, confronting and fabulous. I'm crushing on the staircase and the play of brick against steel reminiscent of a historic half-timbered house. Stalking my dream home?

A Gothic Revival facade that dates from 1873, a modern extension by Austin Maynard Architects and an amazing garden. I think I might just have found my dream home. A few tweaks to the furniture and artwork and I'd move in in a heartbeat. Shame I'll never be able to afford it. Ah well that's what stalking is for! Stalking a live work loft in Amsterdam

I've always fantasized about living in any number of my favourite shops. Just curl up in the display bed after the door have closed for the day. Could you? Would you? Absolutely no problem moving into this Amsterdam loft space (a converted garage) with a stylish atelier at the front and an equally sensational living space at the back. Stalking poolside living in Paddington

It's almost de rigueur to have a pool in Australia. Well if not a strict rule then a definite want. The idea of spilling out of an open plan family living/dining/kitchen area to an al fresco entertaining space beside a pool is top of our wish list. My wish list would be complete if there was also a heritage building attached. An inner-city Sydney suburb would sweeten the deal. Something a little like this Paddington house. I don't even have to live in the house. Perhaps they'll let me take up residence in the studio at the end of the garden. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking on a Saturday

In Amsterdam no less. I'm stalking a stunning, zen-like apartment with roof terrace. Restrained yet luxurious, it is part of a redevelopment by the Collective Studio, a collaboration of developers, designers, artists and brokers.
