Brazilian jungle

Sorry that should read "apartment" not "jungle". What is it about Brazilian design that brings a smile to my face? The honesty, the simplicity, the sense of everyday style, the joy? I think I would feel right at home here and the abundance of indoor plants is only just a part of the reason. Love the deconstruction, the mix of iconic design pieces and the found, the wonderful light. Apartment renovation in São Paulo by RSRG Arquitetos.

The Jones Fix

Layne Jones Postilion a.k.a The Jones Fix is taking bohemian chic to a whole other level. I discovered her on Instagram and her home, where several of these photos were taken, and client's spaces are rocking my boho world with tons of plants, bright colours and funky vintage finds. She's bringing it big time. (Photos: Jessica Giesey)

A mix of classic and modern (and plants!) in Stockholm

This is what happens when I try to delay starting the painting of 22 door panels (the last of the mahogany crap varnish) - I decide blog research is more important and I come across this absolute beauty of an apartment in for sale in Östermalm, Stockholm via Lagerlings. 247m² of classic and modern goodness with a plethora of plants as the icing on the cake. This home speaks to me on so many levels. I am in love and going to dream about this all weekend (while I melt - Ottawa is supposed to be around 40C! Jo isn't the only one experiencing abnormally high temperatures.)

Alisa and Lysandra - a penthouse apartment

I love this stylish penthouse apartment in Melbourne, Australia designed by 'design duo' Alisa and Lysandra. What was once a new build complete with builder's beige walls and not much else to speak of, this home is now contemporary, filled with life (the plants! it even has a massive plant wall!) and has an underlying earthy vibe that keeps it very casual and not so high-rise-y.
