Tropical, dark and colourful in a British townhouse

Here is another eclectic home by Black Parrots Studio but this time it is mid-century mixed with 70's tropical!!! The theme becomes much more subtle beyond this crazy cool dining room (that plant/leaf wallpaper looks like it has been there for years) but all of the spaces are fun and dramatic whether in bright or dark colours.

Working on a Saturday

You know what I say week after week. If you have to drag yourself work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere stylish. "Drag" is not a word I'd use when it comes to Espacio Nueva, an event space, photography studio and co-working space in Madrid. I want to move in and so will you when you see the kitchen and all the wonderful plants. Design by Sara Uriarte of Cordero Atelier.

Sunday at the bar

What do you do when you have a commercial space with double height windows along 2 sides? Fill it with plants and go tropical!! Bar Botanique - Café Tropique in Amsterdam is one of the coolest bars I have ever seen. Shades of green and salmon with accents of yellow and blue, it is an absolutely beautiful hangout day or night. Designed by Studio Modijefsky, photos by Maarten Willemstein.

Vintage and botanical charm in London

A winning combination of vintage furnishings and tons of plants were the reason I had to share this London terrace maisonette built in the 1800's and recently remodelled. A mix of painted and natural wood floorboards, exposed wood beams, a kitchen I am dying over and storing in my inspiration file, and the most beautiful windows and doors help make this home sooooo special. Available as a location home through jj Locations.

Shopping on a Sunday

What a fun shop this is!!! Beehive is a clothing store with a few locations, including this one in Fort Worth, Texas designed by Duffy Stone. I really dig the Miami/80's pastels/tropical vibe going on here. But the best part has to be that Wild Thing wallpaper by Flavor Paper, designed by Ghislaine Viñas. It is made from actual photographs of plants taken by her husband. The perfect wallpaper for those who are plant-obsessed. Gorgeous!!!
