Superbly subtle

I don't think I could live with this much white furniture (well, I could - but I would have to first get rid of the husband and cats), but OMG do I love this apartment designed by one of my favourites, Maison Hand. (See previous post of their work here)

Marie-Laure Helmkampf

When I stumbled upon the portfolio of interior designer Marie-Laure Helmkampf I instantly fell in love. Located in the South of France, Marie-Laure has designed some spectacular rustic homes that are so incredibly dreamy. Her neutral colour stories, natural fabrics and modern mixed with classic furnishings and fixtures is perfection. I could live in any of these spaces exactly as they are.

Spring is almost here

It's in the air. A promise. A promise that winter is over and spring is here. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than to share the work of interior designer Allison Bloom of Dehn Bloom Design. Liveable and lovely, neutral with flashes of colour through accessories, texture on texture and loads of natural light. Fresh and fabulous just like the coming season.

I'm loving the portfolio of design firm The Elegant Abode (Ariana Villalta and Ali Vanderpool). Soft colours, comfortable and liveable spaces that just get better as time goes on. Perfect for a Wednesday afternoon.

Serenity

It is really heartbreaking to know that my 2 weeks off work (the day job that is) has come to an end. Aside from my short 4-day trip to Las Vegas, I didn't really do much and frankly, that was just what I needed. Time to read a book, watch some TV, organize and clean around the house, cuddle with the cats, have time to chill with my husband, and not rush blog tasks. This is what I call HEAVEN. And it's OVER. I need a little pick-me-up today, in the form of a peaceful, serene, calm home. A particular location home I found on 1st Option will do the trick. (P.S. My husband and I spent yesterday downtown in the Byward Market, and quite randomly ended up buying a sofa that we both fell in love with. I snapped a quick photo which will be up on my page along with other bits and bobs we saw later today).
