An apartment by Tavares Duayer Arquitetura

I came across this apartment by São Paulo architecture firm Tavares Duayer because BLACK, BRICK, CONCRETE, SUBWAY TILES...all of which results in a really cool industrial, masculine-vibe space. A conceptual apartment - dark and industrial

I have such respect for people who are talented in the area of graphics. I had to take a graphics course in college for my computer science diploma and it was BRUTAL (you have no idea how long it took me to create a 3D cube and make it rotate). Denis Krasikov is not only a very talented CG artist but his interior design concept for this masculine, industrial apartment for a chief editor of a Russian gaming magazine is equally as impressive. And yes, I love the hallway tile. :)

Vintage masculine

Vintage masculine. Rustic meets Manhattan manly. Why am I trying to put a label on it when it already tells a story we can all understand? It's an eclectic mix of country in the city with a hint of industrial, found object and gentleman's den. Leather and wood, wool and metal. Layers of texture with stories to tell. West 60th Street by Manhattan-based BHDM Design.

Reconnecting with Brian Paquette - part 1

It has been a little while since Jo shared some projects by Seattle interior designer Brian Paquette (here and here), and it seems he has been busy lately so I thought I would share a couple of his latest projects. This one is a home in Victoria, B.C. and has a bit of a gentlemen's club vibe going on. I dig that style for all its leather (chesterfields!) and dark colours. OH YEAH.
