A masculine apartment in Berlin

I mentioned in this post last week that I am pretty much head over heals for interior designer Hubert Zandberg. There is no stopping his incredible talent, so here is another one of his latest projects. It is a masculine, earth-toned apartment in Mitte, Berlin and everything is so sooooooooooo good.

A handsome SoHo loft

From a bit feminine in my last post, to a bit masculine with this space. This SoHo loft designed by J+G Design is stylish and functional with blue accents added throughout. I can imagine the male homeowner waiting for Jennifer and Georgie to leave after having these photos taken, then immediately tossing in the trash all those flowers and branches and wondering why in the hell there are 8 pillows on the damn sofa. ;)

A rustic, industrial library by Jamie Banfield

Beautiful slabs of walnut (I'm guessing here), reclaimed wood shelves, raw steel supports, some stunning artwork, a vintage typewriter (this one is incredible, it too is like art) together in a small space make for an ideal cozy library/workspace with a masculine, rustic, industrial feel to it. Sheep + Stone - Primrose house

I am reeeally loving the vibe of this Los Angeles home designed by Brooklyn-based Sheep + Stone. A bit New York funky, a bit vintage mid-century with a dark, neutral colour palette this place is just really cool and classically modern. The windows in this house are a dream. Makes me want to paint mine black. (Photos: Nicole Franzen)

A masculine penthouse

I am bringing the work week to a close with this beauty I found by interior designer Sayre Victoria Ziskin of SVZ. It has masculine vibe with blue and black accent colours and some hard edges and industrial furnishings, but then throw in an overly (in a good way) tufted velvety sofa and the vibe becomes just a bit more feminine and playful. Overall this home is cohesive and edgy and I love it - especially all the plants, my favourite addition to a room. And check out the amazing planter in the corner of the dining room!
