An elegant bathroom

The folks of Minosa Design have gone and done it again. They sent us photos of one of their latest projects and as always, I am wishing to gawd I had the time and energy to redo my super annoying no-counter-space-whatsoever and no-outlet bathroom. Between that tub, the marble, the Gubi Adnet mirror and all that space I am dying right now. Minosa's attention to detail is impeccable. AH this is SO GOOD! House in Double Bay

The face it presents to the street is quite stern. Box-like, no adornment, a little severe. The architects call it a "nod to the Victorian character of the street without any of the attendant frou frou." Open the door and the mood changes. Although still minimalist there is a warmth conveyed but the lightest of pastel shades and the extensive use of wood. The small space is enhanced by furniture and fittings that stand on narrow legs allowing longer sight lines while a double height void opens up the room. I'd love to see how this house mellows over time as the new owners put their stamp on the clean contemporary lines. House in Double Bay by Sydney-based architectural studio Tribe.

HOMEROOM Studio

I was so excited when Romy Dankner of HOMEROOM Studio emailed with her latest project. The contemporary home features clean lines, beautiful finishes (that stone in the kitchen ... swoon) and bright pops of colour in an otherwise neutral palette. I love Romy's use of unusual pendant lighting in the bathrooms and the bone inlay pieces that are a signature of her work. Check out her Instragram too to keep up with her latest designs and finds.
