A couple random things....

Many of you will probably remember Leila's OTT girly glam loft that we blogged about a few months ago. It seems Leila has an OTT collection of incredible clothing she shot in her OTT loft. She sent along some photos and I had to share a few of them with you all. There's more on her website too. (I looooooooove her totally sexy dresses - I need one of those for my trip to Vegas in November).

A reader named Rose sent along an email that I also had to share: "This past weekend I met this photographer at a Flea market in Brooklyn and couldn't stop looking through his book of Polaroid photographs. His prints look like memories or something. Like someone stopped time for a minute..and the way he prints them (on watercolor paper) give them this surreal aesthetic that looks like a cross between a painting and an old photograph. And with some of his surf shots you can keep the feeling of summer last all year round. As a fellow aficionado of all things creative, thoughtful, and lovely, I thought it wouldn't hurt to pass his site your way as I think you'll be equally obsessed: shehitpausestudios.com". Consider me obsessed! The photographer is Matt Schwartz, and his work is currently for sale at Anthropologie. Like Rose, I too love the vintage vibe of his photos. Do check his site for many more photos and his online shop.

Old world loft

I am in a rush to get a post done so I can crash on my sofa after a crazy week and a half. I zipped over to Inspace Locations and found this lofty home - it instantly made me relax. Such an old world feel with exposed brick walls, and rough and rustic hardwood floors (OMG I would give anything for floors like that). Every inch of this this loft I swear was plucked from my dreams.

My love for all things eclectic...

...has me adoring (ok, drooling over) this space.

Loft with a country touch

How many lofts have you seen that rock a country vibe? I found a dreamy countrified loft designed by the editors of Country Home in 2004. It's country but with a bit of a modern, eclectic and romantic flair that is just amazing against the bones of this formerly empty warehouse loft. A pretty in pink living room with the unexpectedness of a bicycle hanging from the ceiling. A gas fireplace in the bathroom. The pièce de résistance, so simple yet SO effective, a walk-in closet that houses industrial rolling-rack shelves trimmed out with barn wood. LOVE THAT!!!

Industrial loft

I love this industrial loft featured on Beach Studios for location shoots. It's located in London in a converted industrial building and owned by a highly acclaimed furniture and interior designer. Amazing steel sliding doors and polished concrete floors. I'd maybe throw down a few kilims to warm the place up but other than that, it's got great bones.
