Stalking in Québec

A big thanks to Jeason, from Québec City, sent me a link to this home for sale. It is located in Saint Sauveur, Québec, and was the location of a printing company. Completely renovated, this incredible conversion resulted in a pretty spectacular dwelling. 3 floors totalling almost 3000 sq ft, with a private terrace measuring over 1000 sq ft. It's many rooms currently hold a gym, a media room, a professional recording studio, a massive master bathroom with heated floor, and accents of Brazilian walnut and Russian birch....and I'm horrified that some of it appears to be concealing a large brick wall in the main living space (WTF?!). There are some other slightly less horrifying bits like the flooring in most of the home (bleh), the sofa (EEKK!), no bed frame (?!)...but holy smokes this place could really rock! Link while it lasts here.

Another loft to love

Give me any type of loft, any day of the week and I am on cloud nine. Include a kitchen with exposed brick wall, concrete countertops, reclaimed wood cabinets and Jieldé lights and I am drooling all over my computer. This loft is gorgeous. Via Istanbul-based Vimana Design.

Reader's home - Margrethe's loft

I am in love with this loft apartment. It is the home of photographer Margrethe Myhrer (Jo featured her work here), her boyfriend Henrik and their baby daughter Alma, located in Majorstua, the west side of Oslo, Norway. Those beams! Those leather dining chairs! The concrete in the kitchen and bathroom! Margrethe's stunning photographs on the walls! AAAHHHHH!!!!! This is a little slice of heaven. And with that, happy Friday dear readers!

P.S. For folks in and around Ottawa, don't forget about the Ottawa Antique Show tomorrow and Sunday. I'll be there so stop by the Daff Design booth and say hi!

Little loft

Just a little taste, not quite enough. Always leave them wanting more so they say. A little tease. A little inspiration. A little loft with a lot of style. By Portland, Oregon based JHL Design.

Multiplicity

Dreams are made of this. The adaptive re-use of an old school hall, its new interior folding and unfolding within the original space. "... where to start when to blur when to infill what to leave out what to detail when to stop ..." Westwyck Unit4 by Melbourne based multiplicity
