Brooklyn Heights Loft

Imagine living in a loft awash with light and space. Line the walls with books and art, fall back into your comfy couch and you're home. What's not to love about this Brooklyn loft by Ensemble Architecture? I'm still oggling the impressive wall of books. Yes please!

Lofty

I still dream of lofts. And when I discovered this loft I immediately started imagining what I could do with this space. And how much fun the cats would have tearing around (the thin ones anyway). It is 1200 sq ft, located in the SOMA hood of San Francisco, and was  designed by LINEOFFICE Architecture. Those douglas-fir columns, beams and ceilings are spectacular.

~ Sorry, no pet post today. I didn't receive enough entries. :(

A Brooklyn loft

Photo agent Mara Singer sent us some photos of the Brooklyn loft she shares with her husband, still life photographer David Sawyer. Located in the neighbourhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, these folks apparently paid the highest price ever for an apartment here. WHOA! These are only glimpses of the 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1,559 square foot space with a 600-square-foot private roof deck which includes items from their travels and David's photography of course. It's a beautiful loft. Thanks for sharing Mara!

A peek at a loft in Antwerp

This loft is the home of Jon & Masa of the duo behind the design studio LMBRJK (check out their stools - DROOL!). It's just a little peek. You'll have to go over to Coffeeklatch to see the rest.

And for a bonus treat, check out designer Piet Hein Eek's workshop on ALL ITEMS LOADED (from the folks behind Coffeeklatch). More drooling!

Vessels Apartment

An open plan 250 sq m apartment in Barcelona. Overhead lighting defines the spaces with a central, cave like core for bathing. Each space is a vessel with its own identity from sleeping through to bathing, the library, the kitchen and the living area. The rough shell of concrete and brick from the original building envelops the new slick finishes, traditional bones cradling contemporary inserts. The Vessels Apartment by TC-Interiors.
