Greenery inside and out? My idea of heaven! Fort Green Interior Green Walls and Garden by Kim Hoyt Architecture Landscape (in association with Elizabeth Roberts and Ensemble Architects).
It's summer in my part of the world and I can think of no better way to spend my Saturday than pottering around in my garden after I have finished the morning's paper. Perhaps a dip in the pool to cool off as the temperature rises. Later in the afternoon it will be time to crank up the BBQ to feed the friends whose children are dive bombing the pool. If there is a nip in the air after the sun sets there is always the fire pit. It's a perfect Saturday ... except my backyard looks nothing like this one by Landart Landscapes. Oh well in my dreams I guess!
A small courtyard and a stand of bamboo. Recipe for gardening disaster? Not at all particularly if you plant Bambusa textilis ‘Gracillis’. This minimalist garden in inner city Sydney will only get better with time. By Exotic Nurseries & Landscaping.
I was stalking in the Melbourne recently when I can upon two apartments for sale. The building, the gardens, so beautiful. What a dream ... and they are. You see I'm stalking computer generated renderings. Very good renderings I might add.
"Envisioned by architectural developer Orchard Piper, Huntingtower Road offers beautifully proportioned homes in the heart of Armadale. In collaboration with esteemed architects Jolson and landscape architects Myles Baldwin Design, this rare property comprises ten finely detailed homes immersed in greenery."
Sigh. Now if only they look as good after they are built and sold (don't choke on the price) and the new owners move in with their own pieces of furniture. For now though I can dream. For sale here and here while they last.
Ease and elegance, sophistication and stylish simplicity. The hero of the landscape design is the sandstone, walls, steps, pavers, referencing the outcrops of this golden stone seen throughout the Sydney area. Central to all is the pool, a cool oasis in the inner city. Classical gives way to overgrown jungle as you climb the stairs to the upper level. Darling Point by William Dangar.
