A more subdued home in London

Here is another home decorated by the super talented team of Bunny Turner and Emma Pocock of Turner Pocock. A bit more subdued and classy than the last home, this one is quite the looker! I love the unexpectedness of the tulip chairs in the dining room and that little banquette dining area next to the kitchen island is genius. I bet it's a favourite homework spot for the kids.

A Tuscan kitchen

It has been a while since I featured the brilliant kitchens of UK-based design firm Artichoke. They sent over photos of a recently completed Tuscan-inspired kitchen that is so beautifully designed and SO spacious. I am in love. A variety of furniture styles were deployed in this bespoke kitchen to give the impression that the room had evolved over time. The central islands were designed in plaster, with hand planed and finished arched chestnut doors at the ends, typical of the local vernacular. The dresser uses bespoke espagnolette ironmongery with rounded inside moulds on the lay-on door frame to introduce a French element, while the furniture flanking the Wolf range oven is more Georgian in feel.

Sliding

How clever ... and stylish! Sliding timber screens of solid and perforated slats open up spaces or conceal the kitchen from the living area in this small apartment by Sydney-based Koichi Takada Architects.

A loft in Union Square

Not only is this a loft which already makes it a winner, but HELLO statement kitchen! From the gorgeous wall of wood cabinets, the funky exhaust fan, steel and concrete island, chalkboard backsplash (because matte black always)...and the kicker - A PANTRY!!! Dear gawd how I would love a pantry. Another winner from design firm Studio DB

Stalking 1

We're in Camperdown, an inner western suburb of Sydney, thanks to one of my fellow stalking addicts who shared this link. Just down the road from the University of Sydney this modern "terrace house" couldn't be described as student digs. No it's more rustic meets sculptural meets industrial meets million dollar price tag. I would love to see this place in real life. I think the photos, especially of the upstairs bedrooms, don't quite do it justice. Link here while it lasts
