More please

I'd like to see more please. I know that the new building has been designed to impact on the landscape as little as possible but I want to take a virtual walk through. See more of those stone walls, that dark bedroom, the retro furniture. Just a little bit more. Barn extension by Toulouse-based Puig Pujol architectures.

Reader's home - Laure's jaw-dropping views

Laure lives in Le Cannet, France. Le Cannet is located on the north of Cannes, on the French Riviera. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, thanks to Laure's photos of her flat she sent us to share with you all. She has the most picturesque, jaw-dropping views of this glorious city. I am completely envious. (Looking out my upstairs windows at a highway, and downtown Ottawa covered in snow and I'm like, really? Is this the best you can do??? Clearly not the case). Not only does Laure live in heaven, her flat is wonderful, filled with gorgeous antiques (her chandeliers are FAB!) mixed with the always necessary Ikea staples. Laure, I think we'd all love to come crash at your pad.

Hôtel Paradis

Inspired by the über cool (or should that be très cool ;) interiors of the new Hôtel Paradis in Paris. With a quirky mix of vintage, midcentury and modern, the rooms in the 3 star boutique hotel designed by Chzon are layered with colour and pattern. Funky and fun and very reasonably priced. After all staying in style shouldn't cost an arm and a leg. I'll take the room with the view thanks!

Friday eye candy

I thought we could all use some gorgeous interior eye candy to lead us into this hectic pre-holiday weekend (and for those in the Ottawa area, 40 cm of snow!! AAAGGGHHH!!!!). The following photos are from the always fabulous MilK magazine.

Hôtel Sezz

It's Tuesday, the perfect excuse for a virtual holiday. What? You don't daydream of getting away from the rat race on a Tuesday? I do. We are headed to Hôtel Sezz Saint-Tropez, a piece of Provençal paradise with a contemporary twist. Opulence and simplicity, the 35 room and villa hotel is set in three acres of luxurious grounds. Outdoor showers, private terraces and courtyards and a design by Christophe Pillet that is modern and fresh against the charm of stone walls. I'll meet by the pool for drinks, perhaps a little dinner. No rush. It's only Tuesday. We have all week.
