Not the 19th century radical socialist French uprising (OK I'm just showing off here). No it's a Parisian apartment by LA based design firm Commune. Open plan living unified and delineated by oak joinery and a fabulous floor tile. Very French in a very Californian way. Stylish, chic, contemporary living.
This home is another stunner by the team of Mis'en scène 40. Tours, France is the location, and every room has something unique to offer. I can't help but notice that every fabulous French home MUST have a Serge Mouille light fixture.
I pretty much fall in love with every home located in Paris. The ornate architecture, the random assortment of the most exquisite vintage furnishings, the general eclectic nature of the decor, the extravagance of it all....it always leaves me completely in awe. Like this dreamy home designed by the team of Mis'en scène 40. TO DIE FOR.
From its colour blocking to tumbling blocks to steel framed windows this French home is effortlessly stylish. Accents of yellow flash through the limited palette of black and white like a colourful scarf added to a fashionably austere dress. Chez Eléonore by Marianne Evennou.
I'll put up my hand and admit it. I love everything by Lyon-based design duo Pierre Emmanuel Martin and Stéphane Garotin of Maison Hand. I'm such a fan girl that I'd sneak into their showroom and secretly live there. I promise I won't take over this apartment in Ainay is the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon though. That would be creepy. Living in the boutique is another thing ;)
