Parisian love affair

Yes my love affair continues. Just one more apartment by Emma Donnersberg Interiors. Oh so chic, so elegant with a wonderful collection of global artifacts including three Tiwi Island burial poles. Such an amazing collection my eyes can't settle. They are flitting from treasure to teasure.

Indigo + Ochre

I spotted this bathroom above while scouring Pinterest one day looking for brass inspiration for my kitchen. It is what solidified my decision to go with brass hardware and faucet. Shanti and Courtney of Brooklyn-based Indigo + Ochre are responsible for this beautiful bathroom and the other spaces below. Brass seems to be a favourite of theirs too, as well as incorporating ethnic finds in their designs. The combination results in timeless spaces filled with character and soul.

Annette's apartment in Oslo

Back in the summer I blogged the beautiful work of interior designer and photographer Annette Nordstrøm, so I was excited when Annette emailed the other day wanting to share with us her dream apartment in Oslo, Norway. I can see why it's a dream. It has fantastic architectural details like huge windows, arched cielings, exposed beams, old radiators etc. etc. Annette and her stylist partner Christian have created such a stunning home, utilizing many pieces of furniture that were inherited or found at auction, mixed with Moroccan details for an eclectic, global vibe. The neutral palette, mix of textures and patterns along with the architecture has me completely smitten.

Maristela Gorayeb

I was pleasantly surprised when I came across the portfolio of Brazilian interior designer Maristela Gorayeb. Her style is a favourite of mine - a mix of ethnic and modern. She works with each, and the 2 in conjunction, so beautifully. It's about neutral backdrops with jewel tones pops of colour and lots of textures and patterns. Maristela's vibe is not for minimalists nor die-hard modernists. :)

Lucy Fenton

Ever imagine what it would be like living in your favourite shop? Well if the wonderland of a store Fenton & Fenton is that shop then 33 Wattle Rd, Hawthorne is where you should be living. As one of a number of creatives asked to style a display apartment last year Lucy Fenton brought her shop to life in an otherwise boring cookie cutter apartment. Colourful, quirky, beautiful her apartment showcased all that her Prahan shop has come to stand for. And now her newly launched website brings her shop to life for those who can't walk through the doors. A must see gallery if you love colour with a touch of ethnic aesthetic, vintage with midcentury re-invented and the unexpected, always the unexpected. Love!
