A minimalist retreat in Berlin

German interior architecture firm Dreimeta (who also designed Tuesday's La Granja in Ibiza) has created a home as retreat, an escape from high powered, fast paced lives, a place to be surrounded by authentic materials and treasures from travels, a beautiful space to collect and recollect.

La Granja Ibiza

Is it too early in the week to indulge in a virtual getaway? No I didn't think so. OK drink in all these photos, close your eyes and daydream at your desk. La Granja Ibiza was once a private residence but now a small hotel with only 5 rooms and a separate guesthouse. Dark and moody, imperfect and beautiful, an oasis from the hot sun and even hotter night life of this party island. There's even a biodynamic farm. Perfection.

An earthy colonial by Maurizio Pellizzoni

This home (dubbed the Antigua House) in Chelsea, London is all about neutrals, graphic art (a favourite it seems) and stripes - a winning combination. Antigua House is so-called because Maurizio Pellizzoni was asked to create interiors which echo its owner’s second home in the Caribbean. Evoking colonial charm, Maurizio opted for polished wood floors, natural linens, coir matting and a cream, taupe and chocolate colour palette.
