Behind a high wall in Marrakesh is an oasis of green. Cool, lush, inviting. Designer (and general manager of the beautiful boutique hotel El-Fenn) Willem Smit has created a retreat from the hustle and bustle, the heat and the dust of an ancient city.

The king of the minimalist (and expensive) t-shirt has taken a rather average Malibu "farmhouse" and worked his magic to create a home where old-world charm meets modern sophistication in a carefully curated mix of antiques and pieces from his own furniture collections.
Scandinavian minimalism meets industrial in this Tribeca loft by Søren Rose Studio. From it's original, now whitewashed oak floors and exposed brick to the super slick marble and stainless steel kitchen what's not to love? The old windows playing against the black steel and glass walls, the use of wood veneered storage walls to warm the space, the Scandinavian style furniture, the skylight flooding the space with lovely light. Perfect.
