It's like I say week after week. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere stylish and if you're your own boss in your own small business and use coworking spaces then even better! If I looked at pictures of your home could I weave a story about who you are, your loves, your hopes, your life? Just these few images of South African designer David Strauss' home tells me so much yet leaves enough for me to want to know more. Mysterious, moody, artistic, lover of simple luxuries.
My heart will always be with the dark and dramatic, so I was pleased as punch to discover someone shares my passion for moody, inky shades. Fiona Duke is an interior designer based in Essex, U.K. and I love her eclectic, casual style. I discovered several of these fabulous photos are of her own home so she's designing and living in awesomeness.
Everything British designer Hubert Zandberg touches turns to gold. I absolutely adore every interior design project this man has taken on. This one is no exception. This two-bedroom Chelsea apartment was renovated and designed to offer his out-of-town client a playful take on his own private gentleman's club for short stays and meetings. Drama as soon as you enter with bold wallpaper (used throughout) and large scale furnishings, then the masculine vibe and dark colours stand out throughout the rest of the apartment. It is really stunning.
It's simple house in a coastal hinterland by Nexus Designs. Simply stunning that is. I could definitely imagine this as my weekend bolt hole. Stylish and relaxed.
