I needed a little pick me up today, something to take my mind off the fact that I am already completely fed up with winter. These spaces are a bit more country/shabby chic than we typically post but a little diversity never hurts. And these photos make me smile, and think of summer and warmth. Bold and beautiful

I have one more beauty from Rethink Design Studio for you. This time it is quite bold in a Hollywood Regency sort of way. Lots of pattern and colour (someone loves pink, purple and turquoise!). I am pretty sure having such a bold bedroom would quickly make me go cuckoo but it is well executed nonetheless.

Holiday decorating at a minimum

I often think most Christmas decorations are cheesy, but this home has the perfect minimal amount of non-Christmas-y decorating. This is the bright and bohemian 850 sq ft Toronto rowhouse of Jeannette Seymour who, with help from her sister - stylist and cookbook author Sasha Seymour, decked her halls for the holidays in a very non-traditional way. Kitchens you will not find in the burbs

I am all about kitchens that are any combination of black, white, grey, wood and brass. And then I saw this, again by Gisbert Pöppler. It makes me want to move to a flat in Europe, because I don't think this will can be pulled off anywhere else. And OMG I kind of like the peach and green combo. It's TRUE. With the gold and brass accents it's so classy art deco (I would have gone with funkier chairs tho').
