Studio Munroe
A mix of colour and pattern makes for fun, energizing spaces and San Francisco based Emilie Munroe of Studio Munroe achieves just that in her designs as seen in this sampling from her portfolio. "Packing a punch" in a major way.

Interior designer Dirk Jan Kinet does notfill his spaces with Ikea, does not karate chop his pillows, does not douse everything in white nor does he place a fiddle leaf fig in every bright corner. What he does do is the unexpected. In every corner. Literally - check out the dining room photo. This Madrid home is trend-less and I love it for its randomness. Via Nuevo Estilo.
Fabulous French Friday. Is there such a thing? Well there is today because I had to share this delicious Haussmannian apartment in Paris by Studio Razavi Architecture. The bones are great, those white walls and floors the perfect foil for the covetable furniture and art collection but there's a surprise in the kitchen ... after the jump.
Melissa Rufty's designs are rooted in the traditional, where colours and/or patterns take centre stage with a slight modern influence and the resulting spaces are elegant, sophisticated and have plenty of charm. Looking for an excuse to paint something glossy black? Look no further. Yum!
I lost my heart when I saw the shingles and then the rest of the house blew my mind. A totally "un-Hamptons" Hamptons home by Fox-Nahem. Luxuriously comfortable, elegant, livable and packed with personality.
