It seems like so long ago that we were guest bloggers on design*sponge. Kim featured the work of Canadian photographer Stacey Brandford. I recently revisited his website and knew I just had to showcase his amazing portfolio here as well. The top photo is one of my all time favourite interior shots. Love it and I know Kim does too.

Martin Tessler is a photographer based in Vancouver who's photographs are frequently featured among Canada's best shelter magazines (and American ones such as Metropolitan Home). "His interior shots have an immediacy and an intimacy that comes from faultless styling and a mastery of lighting". The photos above? Gorgeous!!! (I want that lamp!)

I am off work this week, and before I head down to the dungeon otherwise known as my basement to tear it apart and remove all sorts of moldy wood (I know, how exciting does that sound), I thought I'd leave you all with much more pleasant images in your heads, like the simple but beautiful photography of Torontonian Michael Alberstat.

Tamara Jensen

Tamara Jensen is an artist here in Ottawa and I thought I would give her work a quick mention since she's having a showing coming up. Her work varies from pop art to abstract to portraits. I am totally loving the first one below, titled Cyndi Lauper. She is showing some of her pop art paintings at La Petite Mort Gallery on July 18th. Her boyfriend Adam is catering (he's the Sous Chef at the fabulous Social Restaurant and Lounge), and there will be a DJ and bar. Sounds like a fun way to spend an evening!
