A new project by Amanda Hamilton

It has been quite some time since I featured Calgary interior design Amanda Hamilton's work. Here's a little update with the bonus of being total eye candy. This Scarboro residence is all class with a limited colour palette of white, grey and blue. Sophisticated and casually elegant with such attention to detail. GORG!

Paul Lavoie

I have just a bit more eye candy for you before your weekend begins. This comes from Paul Lavoie Interior Design based in Calgary. With a Hollywood Regency vibe, these spaces are knockouts with graphic elements including some awesome art and vignettes that are magazine worthy.

A cottage in a forest

I spotted this year-round cottage on Décormag yesterday and had to share because this is my dream summer getaway....except it needs to be lake-fronted. And maybe in a warmer climate, like Mexico. ;) This stunner is located in the Eastern Townships of Québec and was designed by Atelier Barda. I am dying over the black stained wood exterior, and the simplicity of the interior is all you need in a second residence. And a must in a dwelling with surroundings this beautiful - those large windows framing scenes of the forest as art. (Photos: Yves Lefebvre)

Le Renard et La Chouette

A little more rustic goodness to end the day. This restaurant/coffee shop/bar located in Québec was designed by APPAREIL architecture. A little bit Scandinavian and a little bit French, the design is simple, raw and so lovely. Remember folks, while you're tearing through layers....maybe you should just leave 'er be.

From the Toronto Antique & Vintage Market

I thought I would share some photos from the Toronto Antique & Vintage Market that was held a couple of weeks ago, as a lead-in to a reminder to Ottawa folks that it is now OUR TURN! This weekend is the Ottawa Antique & Vintage Market (this Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4 at Carleton Fieldhouse) the husband has a booth so I will be helping him out again but this time I will be scouring the house to see what vintage goodies I can bring to sell. Maybe a Panton chair....maybe my yellow Eames...some bargello needlepoint pillows...definitively some art....

Husband's booth for Daff Design. We rocked the show with that stunning floor model radio (the wood grain is ridiculous) that is now a Bluetooth speaker complete with subwoofer - WOOT!!

This vendor had the BEST BOOTH EVER. Eclectic Pelican carries distressed, vintage finds that often have a European/Victorian vibe, and not only did she have the best content but the booth was beautifully styled.

I bought that double-ended brush above and lace wings to hang over my bed. :)
