Some heart and some home

It's been a pretty busy week so far, and it's going to be an interesting weekend - looks like a trip to Hamilton (or at least a meeting halfway) is happening to bring my stray cat to her new home. Wanda, an absolute angel, has offered to provide this poor cat the home and the love she deserves and I can't wait for the 2 of them to start a new part of their lives together (dammit I'm tearing up). On the subject of hearts and homes, here are some lovely photos from UK online magazine Heart Home (see more in this post).

Not so shabby

English shabby boho that is. I found these photos on the site of talented British photographer Tom Scott and I was intrigued. English boho versus Scandi boho. White walls, white floors, mirrors and aged wood, distressed leather and the obligatory, seemingly careless drape of a dress. What is the difference between shabby and Scandi boho? Less midcentury and more Laura Ashley? Cute as a button shots of this Kent house though by Scott. Can you call a photo adorable? As in "pinch its cheek" adorable?

A quickie

To end off the work week, I thought I'd share this London bachelor pad designed by Tricia Douglas. Love the neutral palette and masculine vibe.
Gotta jet - have a house to design (and  a sh*tload of snow to shovel)!

Debi Treloar update

Simon Eldon, again

I sang the praises of London-based photographer Simon Eldon only 3 months ago, but he contacted us recently to let us know he's always updating his site. Sure enough, I went over to have a peek and there were new goodies ready for another post (including some he shot for digital magazine Heart Home I blogged about yesterday). These are fantastic shots as always, and I especially love that blue kitchen.
