Not so shabby

English shabby boho that is. I found these photos on the site of talented British photographer Tom Scott and I was intrigued. English boho versus Scandi boho. White walls, white floors, mirrors and aged wood, distressed leather and the obligatory, seemingly careless drape of a dress. What is the difference between shabby and Scandi boho? Less midcentury and more Laura Ashley? Cute as a button shots of this Kent house though by Scott. Can you call a photo adorable? As in "pinch its cheek" adorable?

I love that bathroom... so relaxed and pretty. I have a vast collection of frameless mirrors packed away in a cupboard at home. Perhaps this is a boost I need to finally get around to hanging them!

Beautiful. I love it.

I love the linguistic distinctions! I prefer the term high-bo (or hibo), for something like Sissinghurst - yes, that would do! Superb, worn rugs, the odd ancestor on the wall (on a horse) and some good furniture, all arranged in an outhouse.

Do all Scandinavians have good taste?
