Bronte house, and my dream kitchen

Dear gawd this kitchen is IT! It makes me want to take a sledgehammer to mine. Black and brass is so sexy in any application, but in a kitchen it is such a hot combination. Especially because the designer Pip Norris was smart enough not to use black countertops. I have been living a year and a half with some type of granite/quartz black stuff and it is a freaking nightmare to keep clean. These cabinets though - WOW. Moody Brazilian

The palette is restrained, black, neutrals, wood tones except for the flashes of yellow and gold. Spaces within the open plan room are defined by ceiling heights and furniture groupings while layers of texture prevent the whole from being sterile. Moody, masculine, urban, polished, Brazilian. Raw

A raw and edgy addition to an Art Deco home sees function contained within the exposed structure of the form. A limited palette of blacks, greys and blonde wood with exposed concrete, rendered walls and untreated plywood give a Scandinavian meets modern Australian feel. Pix Pintxos

Perhaps an all-black home is too much.....but for a bar it is a totally rad colour choice. This tapas bar in London was designed by Duck & Shed. Dark and moody and with accents of deep red it is slightly goth and totally HOT.
