You go, I go, we all go TOGO. Oh dear did I just write that? I can't help but be a cheer leader for Ligne Roset's cult classic Togo sofa and I can't help sharing just one more fabulous home from the portfolio of Belgian RR Interieur.
There's something so satisfying about bright, white walls anchored by dark floors. Add in lovely old ceiling details, large windows, a cozy fireplace and it's approaching perfect. Now just some contemporary furniture pieces to play against the hints of heritage in the architecture and you're there. Stylish and beautiful living in Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium by RR Interieur.
It may be a new year with new beginnings that doesn't mean that it isn't still hard heading into work on a weekend. Now if I worked here I'd have no problems at all, especially if I could do some research in the "library". Twitter Paris by RF Studio.
You know it's not true. The Belgians just don't do greige. They do rich yet muted colour too. Blues and rusts and raspberries. Purples and oranges and ... grey and white. I am in love with the very Belgian look of these rooms by Antwerp-based Natalie Haegeman Interiors. Rich and refined, rustic and restrained.
It has been quite some time since we featured a project by Dieter Vander Velpen Architects so we were excited when Dieter emailed with some photos of another project. This time it is the remodel of a kitchen and bathroom in a 70's villa near the Belgian town of Leuven. The brief was to create an open, bright kitchen with plenty of workspace and a clutterless look. For the bathroom, the main request was to create a luxurious and calming atmosphere on a limited surface. The kitchen is a modern dream - I ADORE cooking niches like this one, featuring a countertop in polished granite and backsplash in hammered granite. The island is pretty fabulous too where 5 different materials come together: black Zimbabwe granite, dark stained Walnut veneer, polished Calacatta marble, patinated bronze and the black lacquered Vola taps. In the bathroom it is all about beautiful travertine. The results are timeless, modern, understated luxury. (Photos: Thomas De Bruyne)
