A colourful Sydney holiday apartment

If you look closely this Tamarama Beach apartment is actually light, bright and very white but it's the colourful pops of artwork and accessories that amp up that holiday feel. Oh and let's not forget the view. Nothing says Aussie beach getaway more than an endless ocean view and a scurry across hot asphalt to get to the sand on a summer's day. If you want to make today's daydream a reality you can find out more at Contemporary Hotels.

Still stalking

Still stalking. Still in Sydney but this time I have moved to Glebe. I'm stalking a c1850 stables conversion. Small but perfectly formed, this wonderful contemporary home with historical touches is a great example of inner-city reuse. Mid mod meets hipster cool meets colonial. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking on a Saturday

With its back wall dating from 1850 and a heritage-listed frangipani tree we barely glimpse, this brand new industrial-inspired residence is rooted in the past (sorry for the pun) but definitely future focused. Recycled materials, cutting edge living. Stark, confronting and fabulous. I'm crushing on the staircase and the play of brick against steel reminiscent of a historic half-timbered house. I'm stalking in Redfern, Sydney and you'll find the link here while it lasts.

Like the Prahran Residence by Lucy Bock Design Studio. The simple juxtaposition of deep blue tile and marble in the kitchen island is sublime.

Stalking my dream home?

A Gothic Revival facade that dates from 1873, a modern extension by Austin Maynard Architects and an amazing garden. I think I might just have found my dream home. A few tweaks to the furniture and artwork and I'd move in in a heartbeat. Shame I'll never be able to afford it. Ah well that's what stalking is for! You'll find the link to this Northcote, Melbourne home here while it lasts.

P.S. You must watch the video. It shows you so much more of this wonderful house.
