Beachside, bespoke and beautiful. What more could you want? With its stunning views and fine old bones this Palm Beach, Sydney renovation by Alexander & Co saw the layout overhauled with an emphasis on indoor/outdoor living, handmade elements and simple, natural yet luxurious materials.
It's almost de rigueur to have a pool in Australia. Well if not a strict rule then a definite want. The idea of spilling out of an open plan family living/dining/kitchen area to an al fresco entertaining space beside a pool is top of our wish list. My wish list would be complete if there was also a heritage building attached. An inner-city Sydney suburb would sweeten the deal. Something a little like this Paddington house. I don't even have to live in the house. Perhaps they'll let me take up residence in the studio at the end of the garden. Link here while it lasts.
It's Monday. There I said it, the dreaded "M" word. The end of the weekend and the start of another dreary working week. But wait! There is a way we can escape the drudgery of yet another Monday. Time for a virtual escape to Sydney's Watson Bay, to a stylish house with an iconic view and just a few steps from one of the city's best fish restaurants. What's even better is that the house is part of the Contemporary Hotels' luxurious stable of vacation homes. Maybe we can book it for next Monday.

When the view is so spectacular why try to compete with your interior design? You'll only come off second best. Instead be understated, sophisticated, complementary. Love the subtle cloud references in this stylishly simple apartment in Sydney by Ioanna Lennox Interiors. I'm quite sure living here would at times be like living in the clouds.
