Golden glow

Edgy, cool and glamorous. If the copper in the kitchen of this extension to what is a heritage home isn't enough bling for you, wait until you see the gold ceiling. Minimalist, luxurious, impeccably detailed, highly functional and unique in it's materiality - Adelaide Residence 4 by Enoki.

Stalking monochrome Multiplicity in Melbourne

It's another case of stalking déjà vu. Architecturally designed homes we have featured previously on the blog seem to be hitting the market. Today I'm stalking this Brunswick East house by Melbourne-based architectural studio Multiplicity. If I remember correctly I was quite taken by the storage system in the kitchen. (You can see it in its architect's portfolio life here.) Now it's even more fabulous with its "styling for sale" by inside story, the latest collaboration between Lynda Gardener and Belle Hemming. Love, love, love the Grant Featherstone Numero modular chairs in the lounge area. I'm biased though because I have the same ones. Link for this wonderful heritage cottage and its ultra-modern extension here while it lasts.

Working on a Saturday

As I say time after time, if you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend it helps if it's somewhere that looks stylish ... and is full of fabulous clothing, accessories and homewares sourced locally and from around the world. The brief for the design of this Melbourne store was to create a cosy, intimate space with that feeling of casually stepping into someone’s home. Full of Grace

Take a two bedroom Art Deco era house that has seen better times. Give the old girl a well deserved makeover with a spacious modern extension. Take care to marry the old with the new. Final result? A stunning family home with a sophisticated colour palette of black, white and blush. I love the repetition of the stacked tile motif. South Yarra Residence by Full of Grace, Interiors by Therese Carrodus.
