A beautiful house, a beautiful base for exploring Melbourne, beautiful pieces, beautiful space for functions and workshops. Simply beautiful.
Rae's on Wategos wasn't enough. I had to share more from Tamsin Johnson's portfolio. The Sydney-based interior designer is known for her eclectic and refined style. Here the home is elegant and contemporary with a touch of traditional while a light, fresh palette is highlighted with striking hues of blue.
Hump day getaway anyone? Rae's on Wategos has been a Byron Bay icon for many years. Now with a recent refurbishment designed by Tamsin Johnson it is even more fabulous. Moorish meets Mediterranean, whitewash meets sand and surf, elegant yet relaxed and all just steps from stunning Wategos Beach on the most easterly point of Australia. I couldn't think of a better virtual escape. Can you?
As promised yesterday I'm stalking the other half of a warehouse in Melbourne's Collingwood. What a difference! Yesterday's conversion was modern industrial. Today's is a mix of traditional, eclectic, a touch of industrial meets country kitchen and a whole lot of designer loft. Not surprisingly it is the studio of interior designer Diane Bergeron. Part design studio, part client showroom, part inner city pad. And it has that ceiling high bookcase that is featured on thousand upon thousands of Pinterest boards. It sold last month for $1.8 million. Link here while it lasts.
