A unique, art-filled maisonette in Germany

Since I will be in the air on the way to Germany when this post published I wanted to feature a home from this gorgeous country. This 290  apartment in Stuttgart is that of architect Peter Ippolito of Ippolito Fleitz Group and textile designer Stefan Gabel of Zimmer + Rohde. This space could really not be more unique - with fun pieces of art throughout. Such incredible creativity and thought went into the design. I adore this.

A brightly coloured condo by Brio Interior Design

I am completely smitten with this Seattle apartment designed by Brio Interior Design. Such fun bright colours in unique conbinations and a midcentury vibe. The clients of this newly built high rise unit only had a few requests when hiring brio interior design to complete the bare bones, empty interior from scratch. The palette should include green and ivory, the art should be local, the sofa must be “nap-able” and there must be a king size bed in the owner’s suite with an upholstered headboard. We chose to infuse the sterile interior with bold color, lush texture, one of a kind custom furnishings and plenty of velvet. The space features artwork by locals including Deanne Belinoff and Paul Edmondson as well as the fine craftsmanship of local woodworkers and furniture makers who built the custom sofa, wall bed/desk, headboard and living room built-ins right here in lovely Seattle. Another Paris apartment by Camille Hermand

Architect and designer Camille Hermand has designed yet another stunning Parisian apartment that has me swooning, as her projects always do. The molding detail, marble firepleace and chevron floors are a dream, and I LOVE the wallpaper in the bedroom.

Miami Renaissance

It's almost the weekend and it's time to party. Put on a disc from a disco diva and pour yourself a drink. I love this Miami apartment by L.A. based design firm Studio Hus. Offbeat and upbeat, vintage and high end, retro and right now. It's the rebirth of 80's cool.

Black and white in the city

This 2 bedroom Park Slope apartment by BHDM design with its high contrast black and white colour palette, rich tobacco brown leather and brass highlights is a stylish example of cosmopolitan cool. Edgy and urbane, sophisticated and oh so smooth.
