Stalking leftovers

It's about time! I've been stalking but not sharing and it has to end. Some of the properties have even sold during the time I've had them bookmarked. As you know I am fussy, particular, choosy, picky and hard to please. Not quite right, bad photos, more photos please, house is amazing furniture is deplorable , can't quite put my finger on it listings but all with something that has me nodding "yes". It's a bumper offering this week. There is an interior designer's house, a house on Sydney harbour with great bones but the furniture must die (tell me which one you think that one is), a church conversion and a warehouse with just a piano and red roses. Not quite but it may as well be. Speaking of empty buildings I've included a country post office because of the potential. OMG what I could do if I had the money! Click on the images to head to the listings. All via realestate.com.au.

Bar envy

Isn't this just the most fantastic little built-in bar?! Gawd I love this, having dreamed of having a dedicated bar area for years but never really having enough space or a decent spot. I would take this and make it slightly wider with shelving on the sides to display bottles of booze. *sigh* Via Incorporated Architecture & Design

Confluence House

I have shared a few projects in the past by New York-based Incorporated Architecture & Design such as this apartment and this apartment but I also shared this really cool cabin-like simple and modern home. They have since designed another similar home but this time larger. The simplicity of the structure is absolute perfection (IMHO). Concrete floors, wood framed doors and windows and those gorgeous wood kitchen cabinets lend an organic, raw feel to the space and brings the outdoors in...with the help of some pretty awesome plants too. I would live here in a heartbeat.

Alex Hotel

Perth's newest boutique hotel, the Alex Hotel, is so cool, so funky, so hipster, so much fun. The interiors by Arent&Pyke are like a breath of fresh air. No stuffy, seen-it-all-before hotel rooms here. No. Young, fresh, fab. I can feel a trip to Western Australia on my horizon if only just to book in for a few days.

A simple beach house in Costa Rica

I have another project from a Polish interior designer to share with you. Magda of 2kul Interior Design sent photos of a beautiful beach house in Costa Rica. Is a simple project, but maybe, with everything that is happening last days simple is not a bad thing. Project is in the middle of nowhere ;), around Avellana beach in Costa Rica. Not a big budget, not much stores around and qualified workers. So we use anything that we found and nature gave us. Bark of a palm tree gives us material to make chandelier above the stairs, beach sticks and wood from the ocean - all the other decorations, lamps structures, handmade 'deer' on a wall. Palets that been left after construction become furnitures. Had my mother and her skills around so ask to make this huge hanging black and white lamp that you can see in the corner of a room. This goes to show with a bit of ingenuity and some found objects, you can create a wonderful space with next to no budget. For the record Magda, your mom has talent - I would buy that light fixture!
