Monday's pets on furniture

If you'd like to send me photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it's dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don't send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

Hjalmar, my Boston Terrier, soon 5 months and Elmer, the fatcat, 1 year, enjoying their favorite chair.
- Janne (Norway)

Oscar is a 7 y/o Rhodesian Ridgeback. He adores a good mid-century modern chair, but not as much as ice cream and baked goods. When he's not sleeping like a log, he blogs about his charmed life at www.oscaratemymuffin.com (illustrated by his patient mum, artist & designer Natalya Zahn)
- Natalya

This is my cat named, Tabby who has been living with me for 7 years. She is sitting on an original George Nelson steel sofa that has been recently reupholstered. She and her brother, Pazu compliments well with my furniture.
- Waka

Attached is a photo of my cat Josie, sleeping on my new vintage kantha ottoman. She has taken quite a liking to it!
- Kobie

Lucia the cat
- Marta (Vancouver)

This is my sweet dog Lucy.  Every morning when I leave for work, she sits and waits for 'Mommy' on the bench until I return.  She is a 7 year old Bichon-Poodle who thinks she is the Queen of the castle.
- Natalie (Ajax, Ontario)

Here is my princess Siena making full use of mom's DIY ottoman. She barely fits, but it doesn't seem to bother her!
- Soledad

We rescued Wylie from the Kentucky Humane Society last year.  He is part arctic fox, part princess and total snuggle bunny!
- Sue (Louisville, KY)

What started out as just a corner of the couch, has led to total ownership. Here's Libby Lou's favorite spot in our house.
- Sarah (Chicago, IL)

I was upstairs when I heard "Jimmy," the little cocka-poo's agitated bark from the living room. I ran downstairs and saw that "Crush", the American bulldog was sitting on poor Jimmy. Had to snap a quick pic. They fight over the dark brown leather chair in my green living room in my little house in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The image of big ol' Oscar sitting precariously in a tiny side shell is just too good!

What is that poor head behind Wilye? Crush, what a good name! Siena, majestic; Lucy breaks my heart, waiting all day for her mommy to come back... Libby lou, what a body! Oscar, delicious. The boston terrier and fat cat, there is hope for humanity when cat and dog sleep together, and when there is so much love for them and from them to us. Thank you all.
Soon One day I will take the trouble to post my pictures. I have a lot. Bye

LOVE this feature! So much love these people have for their animals, it's a joy to behold them in their loveliness.
These are the only animals on furniture I want. No more cow skins please!
